FAQ

Q: Are there areas the laser can not reach?

A: Laser software auto corrects for laser head clearance. It is strongly recommended not to engrave beyond 40 degrees which will cause grain quality degradations. Also keep in mind structures that could impede the laser.

Q: Can you produce custom textures for our specific projects?

A: Our in house creative team can develop custom designs, grains, and patterns, by utilizing virtually any natural material, such as wood, stone and leather, as well as repeatable and non-repeatable geometric patterns.

Q: Does the laser leave a radius in corners like cutters do?

A: The laser has such a narrow beam diameter, that it is able to achieve sharp corners for all logos, designs and patterns.

Q: Is the laser capable of blending textures?

A: Our design team is able to setup files with custom blending and fading of textures based on percentages, accurate to within a few microns, for almost any surface contour.

Q: Is it possible to see the texture on the surface before it is ablated?

A: We are able to create texture previews in the CAD software so that our customers are able to get an idea of what the ablated surface will look like.
